TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment) contains the active region of Tβ4, the primary G-actin sequestering molecule. Promotes cell migration, angiogenesis, and tissue repair. Expressed in virtually all cell types. Research by Goldstein et al. and Sosne et al.
Mechanism of Action
TB-500 promotes migration via the LKKTET motif, modulating actin polymerization. Upregulates Akt/PI3K survival signaling, promotes VEGF-dependent and -independent angiogenesis. Nature (2004) demonstrated functional cardiac regeneration via epicardial cell activation.
